Wahine is a multi-media installation based on weaving traditional aural aspects of karanga and taonga pūoro with contemporary materials and digital media, to create an immersive space, that draws focus to mana wahine. Harmony Repia, Sarah Te Whare, Cholena Perry and Alana Cooper, four wāhine Māori from different disciplines in the creative arts, seek to rejuvenate the traditional importance of Māori women within customary Maori society.
